They serve lunch from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m and then dinner until close.
A popular spot for St. Augustine visitors and residents alike, the Floridian restaurant offers fresh, healthy, and delicious food for lunch and dinner. For 15 years, they have prepared lunches, dinners, and food for special occasions, on the edge of the historic downtown, first on Cordova Street and now at 72 Spanish Street.
The Menu
The Floridian has a diverse menu, serving dishes using local, seasonal, and sustainable ingredients as much as possible. They support the St. Augustine farming community by purchasing ingredients locally and in season. As a result, their menu includes authentic, fresh, and healthy food that changes continuously with the seasons -- from salad bowls to sandwiches and a host of delicious dinner entrees.
While they offer decidedly southern fare, including fried green tomatoes, the recipes are unique to the Floridian. They include foods and flavors from several southern cuisines, such as the local dish, shrimp and sausage pilou, a golden curry, and hoppin' John and greens. You can find appealing menu items for several dietary preferences, including gluten-free.
The Floridian has a full bar of wine, beer, and liquor. They offer seating indoors and out, with umbrellas over the tables for sunny days and heaters outside on cold days.
Special Events
The Floridian offers an event space and catering for rehearsal dinners and private parties.
Moving in 2025
The Floridian will close for a few months in 2025, as they prepare a new restaurant on Anastasia Island. July 28, 2025, is their last day of service on Spanish Street. They plan to open in their new location, 485 Old Beach Road (near the 3102 intersection), in the fall or winter of 2025.
