  • St. George Tavern located on St. George Street in historic downtown St. Augustine is a long-time local favorite hangout. When they are serving food, they offer tasty burgers, sandwiches and other lunch items; when they aren't serving, smoking is allowed in the bar.

    This narrow bar has booths on one wall and the bar on the other, and a fun and relaxed atmosphere. For decades, St. George Tavern has been a staple on St. George Street and is a favorite for those who want to take a break while shopping or sight-seeing and for those who want to stop in at one last bar before heading home.

    The place may look like a dive but the sandwiches were fantistic and very affordable. A cold beer doesn't hurt matters either.
