Originally  from  the Northeast, Durst moved from the US to Greece, where, as a pre-teen she was advised that it was more challenging  to play rhythm than lead, so she picked up her guitar, and rocketed off to India, then London to join her first band, and then to New York City.  In the Big Apple, where she enjoyed performing with various bands in some of the best known rooms in town, Durst built a foundation with some great singer-songwriters.
