STAR Circulator — short for St. Augustine (STA) Rider — provides free rides around St. Augustine's Historic Downtown. Operating from 10:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. one of these blue and white buses should leave the turnaround between the parking garage and the Visitor Information Center every quarter-hour, and stop at two other locations before returning.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream—especially in Florida where the summer lasts a looooong time. Fear not! In St. Augustine ice cream is both a sport and a delicacy. You could probably spend your entire vacation sampling different kinds and flavors of ice cream. If you do, I don't judge. In fact, I'll probably run into you along the way as ice cream is my must-have during three of Florida's seasons. Without further ado, I present the top five ice cream experiences in St. Augustine as of the summer of 2024.

Fronted by lead guitarist and singer, Lane Whalin, Whalin the band consists of four musicians with a drummer and others tossed into the mix. Along with Lane Whalin, the principals are T.R. Zinlinsky on fiddle, Shane Platten on bass, and Julie Papili on guitar and vocals.

The band has been a local favorite at several venues where dancing, drinking, and singing along are encouraged. Lane has partnered with three great performers and musicians to create fun and high-energy performances. Lane also performs solo and in duos, trios, and other bands as opportunities arise.
