Located on St. Augustine's historic bayfront, O.C. White's Seafood and Spirits offers indoor and outdoor dining in a building that dates back to the 1790s.
The Cuisine
The restaurant specializes in fresh seafood dishes, with an emphasis on locally caught fish, shrimp, and crab, including the homemade crab cakes.
Menu items change with the seasons, and selections could include fresh Maryland blue crab, a bucket of steamers, calamari, coconut shrimp, herb-crusted grouper, and a variety of beef and chicken selections. They offer a soup du jour, salads, handhelds, fish and chips, and shrimp and grits for lunch. Their dinner menu includes a rice bowl with several different toppers, a shrimp Abaco sauté, and Chatty's homemade blue crab cakes.
Sunday Brunch
O.C. White's Sunday brunch begins at 9:30 a.m. every Sunday. Their brunch items include seafood options, a biscuit-and-gravy bowl featuring sausage, omelets, pancakes, waffles, and (of course) shrimp 'n' grits.
Spirits and More
There's a full bar with beer, wine, and specialty drinks, including several options for non alcoholic smoothies, frozen drinks with alcohol, and signature cocktails. During Sunday brunch, O.C. White's serves traditional and specially flavored mimosas.
Hours
This iconic, locally-owned, family-run restaurant serves from 11:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m., Mondays through Thursdays; from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays; and from 9:30 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Sundays.
O.C. White's offers free parking while you dine at their restaurant, in their lot just across Marine Street from their courtyard.

Building History
Built in the late 1700s, the house was one of the first hotels in St. Augustine and stood at 116 Marine Street, now the parking lot for O.C. White's. The widow and daughter of General William J. Worth bought the home in 1868 and sold it to a cigar maker in 1904. In 1948, George L. Potter, who once owned Potter's Wax Museum, purchased the home. In 1961, the owners moved the building to its current location at 118 Avenida Menendez and created a Wendy's restaurant on the property.
The O.C. White family purchased the building in 1992 to establish their restaurant.
The building is said to be haunted, and those who work at the property, including the owners, have described several paranormal sightings and experiences.
