On Sunday, May 5 at 4:00 p.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship, the St. Augustine Film Society hosts a screening of the Academy Award nominee for Best Foreign Film, The Taste of Others (2000).

Written and directed by Agnès Jaoui, this witty comedy steps into the idea of how opposites attract. A businessman, overwhelmed by life itself, is taken by an actress's strength and beauty in a performance. Their engagement intensifies once he decides to learn English and finds out his teacher will be none other than the actress.

Musician Kevin Mark sits with his guitar, smiling, with woods in the background

Kevin Mark

From drumming in his grandfather's wedding band, to his own band, to a solo act.

With a soul based in rhythm, Kevin Mark has been playing music on stages since he was 12. Wielding drumsticks in his grandfather's wedding band in Ohio, the beat became his language.

Relocating to the sunshine state, Kevin embraced guitar and bass in church, then played drums for a dance band where his beats drove crowds to the dance floor. Kevin's musical trajectory then took a soul-searching curve, striking out on his own, entertaining crowds with his acoustic guitar, vocals, and stories to share.
